Bean Brothers Coffee Company was set up in 2012 specifically to control the coffee going into Coffeevolution, the specialty coffee shop the two brothers had been running in Huddersfield since 2000. The roastery is housed at Britannia Mills, a former textile mill on the outskirts of the town centre in West Yorkshire.
The business roasts, blends and packs in-house daily, with a focus on single origins alongside house espresso blends supplied to coffee shops nationally. Barista training is offered on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, with the brothers also advising early-stage coffee businesses on sourcing, equipment and setup.
Coffeevolution on Church Street remains a working part of the operation.
