Jute Coffee

Jute Coffee is a roastery based in Thrapston, Northamptonshire, with a strong focus on packaging and sustainability that runs through the whole operation. The jute blend won a Great Taste 2-Star award in both 2020 and 2021, and other coffees in the range have also received Great Taste recognition.

On the sustainability side, jute claims to be the first UK coffee supplier to deliver beans to commercial customers in reusable food-safe tubs, each designed to last 25 years before being recycled. The coffee bags themselves are made from at least 70% sugarcane waste and are recyclable through standard kerbside plastic collection.

Jute also sponsors beehives on a beekeeping course at Workbridge, a Northamptonshire charity providing vocational training for people with mental illness, learning disabilities, or brain injuries. It sells direct to consumers and through a wholesale channel, with subscriptions available.
