The largest coffee festival in the UK, held each May at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane.
The London Coffee Festival is the biggest of its kind in the country, and has been running since 2011. It takes over the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane for 4 days in May: 2 days for the trade, then a full weekend open to everyone. The festival lists 275 coffee and food brands under one roof, which is more than any other UK event comes close to.
The headline draw is Coffee Masters, a knockout competition that puts 16 baristas through disciplines from cupping and brewing to latte art. Around it sit the talks programme, latte art demonstrations, hands on brewing sessions and the Roasters Village, where the roasters themselves pour. La Marzocco runs its own café inside the event.
It is the only one of the big UK festivals not run by coffee people. William Reed, a trade events and media group, bought it in 2022. If you want the whole industry in one place on one weekend, this is where it gathers.
