Capital Roasters has been roasting coffee in Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire since 1991, making it one of the longer-running independent roasteries in Wales. After more than 30 years in its original Kingswood unit, the business moved in 2023 into a purpose-built 6,000 sq ft roastery on Cleddau Bridge Business Park, where a new Toper roaster runs alongside the original Probat machine, giving a combined capacity of up to 8,000kg of coffee a week.
Coffee is roasted to order and delivered next day, sold both online direct to consumers (free shipping over £30) and into a wholesale base of B&Bs, cafes, hotels, delis and larger label-pack clients, with bespoke blends and contract roasting on customer-supplied green coffee. The roastery is certified by Pembrokeshire Produce.
On site, The Coffee Story visitor centre and tasting cafe is open Monday to Friday, offering tours, brewing demonstrations and freshly roasted blends and single origins. Capital Roasters also supplies and installs UK-manufactured espresso machines, filter equipment, sundries and barista training.
