Shop House Coffee Roastery was founded in 2021 from a family home in North Lincolnshire, after extended time at home during lockdown turned a coffee interest into a business plan, with a roaster ordered in January that year. The roastery is still home-based and focuses on single origin coffees graded at 84-plus on the SCA scale, currently offering beans from Ethiopia, Rwanda, Brazil and Colombia.
The team states it ethically sources all its coffee, ensuring farmers are paid fairly to reinvest in producing better quality beans. A monthly subscription is available at £18 alongside one-off bags, a Colombian decaf, coffee bundles and gift hampers.
Click and collect runs alongside online ordering for local customers. The business has been recognised with a Best Newcomer finalist nod and a Gold citation for Best Drinks Product, both displayed on the home page.
