Campervan Coffee Co was established in 2015 by a founder who had previously set up Hermitage Road in Hitchin, a coffee shop named by The Independent as one of the UK's top 50. The roastery is based in a converted barn in Hertfordshire, roughly 30 minutes from both London and Cambridge.
Training, equipment trials, and wholesale supply are all run from the same site. The business serves hospitality clients including coffee shops, hotels, and restaurants, with equipment from Conti alongside the coffee supply.
The name comes from a 1976 VW Bay Window Campervan used to bring speciality coffee to street food markets in the early days of the business.
