J. Atkinson and Co., trading as Atkinsons Coffee Roasters and Tea Merchants, is a Lancaster based coffee roaster and tea merchant.
The business operates from 12 China Street, Lancaster, alongside three further Lancaster locations including The Music Room, The Hall and Lancaster Castle. Coffee is roasted on a Loring low emission roaster, with both filter and espresso roast profiles offered.
Origins on the current line up include Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, Peru and Uganda. The company emphasises long term relationships with producers and customers, runs a coffee subscription, a wholesale programme and a decaf range, and is B Corp certified, publishing an Impact Report 2025.
Single origin coffees are offered alongside blends, and the shops are open to visitors.
