James Gourmet Coffee

James Gourmet Coffee is a family roastery in the market town of Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, roasting since 1999. The range covers light filter roasts, a medium one-roast style, and darker espresso profiles, drawn from origins including Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Honduras, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda, alongside house blends.

The roastery describes itself as a small, deliberately compact operation that connects directly with growers, suppliers and customers around the world. Trade customers receive training, support and equipment, with visits to the Herefordshire base encouraged to taste through the line-up.

Sustainability is a stated focus, with the team noting they work with what they describe as the first eco roaster in Europe and are investing in recyclable packaging. Retail buyers can choose from subscriptions, single origins, decaffeinated coffees and longstanding blends.

The site also runs open days, with recent posts pointing to events and new Costa Rican and Rwandan releases through early 2026.
