Pink Lane Coffee opened on Pink Lane in Newcastle in 2012, just across from Central Station, and the roastery grew from there. The business now roasts and supplies speciality coffee to homes, cafés, restaurants, hotels, bars and offices across the UK.

The team roasts to bring out the natural flavour of each coffee and avoid bitterness, working with named producers including Wilson Alba and Luis Anibal Calderon in Colombia and Mensur Abahika in Ethiopia, with traceability back to the farm and prices that exceed Fairtrade. The café serves espresso, cold brew and pour-over alongside a full menu with vegetarian and vegan options, seven days a week.

Pink Lane operates as a collective: managers hold a stake in the business and a say in how it runs. The company is a Real Living Wage employer and sources its milk from Marley Cote Walls dairy farm in Northumberland.

Decaf is offered as a Colombia Palestina EA process. Online orders ship on Thursdays via Royal Mail tracked.
