Andronicas has been trading since 1979, supplying coffee alongside commercial espresso machines from a Shoreditch base in London. The business is best known for its signature 1849 blend, originally created in 1999 to mark Harrods' 150th anniversary and now sold as beans, ground coffee and Nespresso compatible capsules.
The blend draws on four origins, Colombia, Brazil, washed Ethiopia and Indonesia, with the recipe kept in house. Andronicas works directly with plantations rather than through commodity supply chains, though the website gives little public detail on those relationships.
Alongside its own coffee, the company sells Astoria and Storm commercial machines to trade customers and offers on site barista consultations and finance through Focus Finance. Customers can buy the 1849 blend online, by subscription or in capsule form, and the company runs a separate trade application route for hospitality buyers.
The current site reads more as a coffee and equipment supplier than as a specialist artisan roaster.
