Angelucci Coffee is one of the longest running coffee businesses in Britain.
Angelucci Coffee is one of the longest running coffee businesses in Britain. Alfredo Paulo Angelucci founded the company in 1929 at 23b Frith Street in Soho, where it traded for 80 years before relocating, first to East Finchley, then Bedfordshire, and now Epsom in Surrey.
Three generations of the Angelucci family have run the business, with grandson Jimmy Angelucci managing operations today. The signature product remains Mokital, a registered blend of medium and dark roast beans created by Alfredo himself and still sold in 500g ground, 1kg bean, and 5kg wholesale formats.
Mokital was a fixture of Soho coffee culture for decades, supplying Bar Italia for 74 years until 2023, alongside Spencer House, White's Club, and Pizza Express. The business now operates online and wholesale only, with a five kilo minimum on trade orders.
There is no public cafe or roastery visitor space.
