Broadway Coffee Roasters

Broadway Coffee Roasters is a speciality coffee roaster based in Southsea, Portsmouth, founded in 2020 by Duane Matthew Bradshaw. The roastery uses a Typhoon 20kg solar-assisted electronic roaster and sources 100% Arabica beans from farms across the coffee belt, including origins such as Brazil, Rwanda, Colombia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, India, Peru and Jamaica.

The business operates a cafe and espresso bar on The Broadway in Southsea alongside an academy offering roasting experiences and barista courses. Broadway sells direct to consumers online via retail bags and subscriptions, as well as supplying wholesale accounts.

Their Colombian decaf uses the ethyl acetate sugarcane process. The roastery reports a 60% reduction in carbon footprint in 2024 and emphasises paying fair prices to farmers, though no formal certifications are held.
