The team is small, with Chris joined by Lewis, Alan and Storm running roasting, packing and wholesale.
The roastery processes between 200 and 250 kilos per week, split roughly one third online retail and two thirds wholesale, serving cafes, film studios and festival sites. A stated focus of the business is roast consistency, with each batch tracked against an agreed profile using roast logging software so that the same coffee delivers the same result across repeat orders.
The roastery takes a deliberate position against dark roasting, arguing that over roasting strips the nuance and aromatics that make a coffee distinctive. Coffees are packed in compostable bags as part of a wider sustainability stance.
