Capital Coffee

Capital Coffee Roasters is a family-run roaster, wholesaler and commercial equipment supplier based in South West London. Founded in 1982 by Roy Grey as Capital Drinks, the business was built up by Roy and his wife Linda alongside a long-serving core team.

In 2023 their sons John and Andy stepped up to run it, with John focused on coffees, blends and the day-to-day team and Andy bringing experience from the Melbourne specialty scene into roasting, servicing and customer support. The company offers blends, single origins, Nespresso-compatible compostable pods and a Seed to Sip subscription, where drinkers pick a Classic, Modern or Weird flavour profile rather than a single coffee.

On the trade side, Capital supplies wholesale beans, leases and sells commercial machines, runs barista training from its Wimbledon showroom and handles servicing. The team also contract-roasts private label coffee for distributors and hospitality clients.
