Caravan Coffee Roasters opened on Exmouth Market in early 2010, founded by Laura Harper-Hinton, Miles Kirby and Chris Ammerman. The trio met working in restaurants in New Zealand before bringing an all-day dining and freshly roasted coffee format to London.
The group has grown to seven London sites, including Bloomberg Arcade in the City and Vardo in Chelsea, plus a Manchester outlet, with the roastery and coffee school operating alongside the restaurants. Caravan is a certified B Corp and frames its work around roasting responsibly and sourcing thoughtfully.
Its sourcing approach centres on direct relationships with growers, anchored by an ongoing Female Producer Programme that prioritises coffees from women-led farms and cooperatives. The retail range covers the Daily house blend, a rotating Roaster's Rotation, single origins and a Colombia Cauca decaf processed using local sugarcane by-products.
Wholesale supply runs independently of the restaurants and includes a workplace coffee partnership with Thrive, alongside subscriptions and gift options.
