Casa Coffee Roasters, trading as Casa Espresso Ltd, is a family run speciality roaster in Shipley, West Yorkshire. Tony founded the business in 2000 from a spare room at home, originally as the first licensed UK importer of Sanremo espresso machines.
After Tony died in 2007, his son Nino took over and shifted the focus toward hand roasted, ethically sourced speciality coffee. In 2014 the team installed their first roaster, making Casa the first speciality coffee roaster in Bradford.
They went on to win Great Taste Awards for three consecutive years from 2019, and several award winning coffees remain in the core range. The roastery is led by Nino as director, Jonnie as head roaster and head of operations, and David as despatch manager and assistant roaster.
Casa works with green importers including Raw Material, Cofinet, Volcafe, Covoya, DR Wakefield, Sucafina, Algrano, Ally Coffee and Equatorial Traders, and supplies independent coffee shops, delis, restaurants, breweries and mobile events across Yorkshire and beyond. They use post consumer recycled, fully recyclable and carbon neutral packaging, donate used hessian sacks for upcycling locally, and pass coffee chaff to community members for animal bedding.
