Founded in early 2008, Coffee Real roasts speciality coffee in Horsham, West Sussex, working directly with farming families across Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Peru, Ethiopia, Papua New Guinea, Mexico and Sumatra. The catalogue spans single estate lots from named farms such as Fazenda Rainha, Sitio Sao Jose, Hacienda Sonoara and Finca El Porthron, alongside two conservation-linked blends: BornFree, which supports wildlife causes, and Pacific Rescue, tied to the San Pancho sea turtle project in Mexico.
Decaf options run across Colombia, Mexico and Peru using the Mountain Water process, with a CO2-decaffeinated Salvation espresso blend. Coffee is hand-roasted in small batches and shipped within 48 hours of roasting.
Subscriptions are offered for caffeinated, decaffeinated and espresso ranges, with multiple grind formats. Wholesale enquiries are handled directly.
Tasting notes are written with specificity, from tomato vine and lemon butter on the Peru decaf to cacao and juicy berry on BornFree espresso.
