Cornico is a family run roastery near Padstow in Cornwall, founded in 2009 by Andrew Tobin and now run alongside his wife Donna and their daughters Briony and Kathryn. The name is pronounced Corn eco and means Cornish in Italian, which sets the tone for a small team blending local identity with continental coffee ambitions.
The wider team of eight handles roasting, training, operations and delivery from Unit 3 Higher Trevibban, with hand roasted specialty coffees produced in their own roaster in Cornwall. The range covers a House Blend, single origins from Burundi and Brazil, and a La Huila Colombian decaf processed using the EA sugarcane method.
Packaging is biodegradable or compostable, with oxo bio degradable bags, sugarcane and hemp paper labels, bio degradable shipping boxes and cellulose tape, treated as a practical commitment to reducing waste rather than a marketing line. Online retail is the primary sales channel, supported by Dalla Corte machine sales and barista training.
