Crosby Coffee was founded in Liverpool in 2014 by Jack Foster, who started roasting at home and selling at local markets before moving into a commercial space. Mark Slinger joined as co-owner in 2016 and the business expanded into the Ten Streets Roastery at 13 Glegg Street, alongside three cafes on Lark Lane, Oxford Road in Waterloo, and Alt Road in Hightown.
The roastery runs a Loring roaster, which the team describes as using up to 80 per cent less energy than traditional machines through closed-air circulation. Sourcing is described as direct trade, with origins including Guatemala, Colombia, Burundi, Rwanda, Brazil, Uganda, Honduras and Kenya.
The company has been recognised through several awards, including the Business Elite Award 2025 for Best Independent Coffee Roasters Liverpool, two Good Food Award Gold Seals, and a Liverpool Hospitality Barista of the Year win. Wholesale, subscriptions and direct online sales are all available, alongside a decaf range featuring Colombia Planadas and Guatemala lots.
