Dear Green Coffee Roasters was founded in Glasgow in 2011 by one woman with a single roaster. The name comes from Dear Green Place, the Scots Gaelic meaning of Glasgow.

The roastery sits at 101 Brook Street in the east end at G40 3AP, with a showroom and SCA-accredited training space attached. Dear Green has been a certified B Corp since 2020 and is a Living Wage, Living Hours and Living Pension Foundation employer.

The team holds SALSA accreditation for traceability and has committed to reaching Net Zero by 2030. Two per cent of annual revenue goes to charitable causes, and Dear Green founded the Glasgow Coffee Festival in 2014 and the UK Roasting Championships.

The shop carries single origins, blends, organic options and a dedicated collection featuring women producers. Decaf is offered across Swiss Water, CO2 and other methods.

Roastery tours, classes and experiences run regularly, alongside subscriptions, wholesale and office coffee services.
