Horsham Coffee Roaster started in 2012 in a garage in West Sussex with a 1kg roaster, selling at Horsham food market before moving into wholesale and online. The business is still a small team of five and now roasts on a Loring S35, a low-emissions roaster they highlight for its fuel efficiency.

Co-founder Bradley is a licensed Q Grader, and the roastery relocated to Burgess Hill in 2021, opening a roastery cafe later that year. Two sister venues sit alongside the wholesale side: Bond Street Coffee in Brighton, opened in 2014 with Chris Campbell, and Urban Botanica in Kennington, opened in 2018 with Stephen Wood.

Sourcing is built on long-term producer relationships, framed on the site as Relationship Coffees since 2017, with prices set above the Fairtrade base. Current partners include the Gishyita washing station in Rwanda and six Costa Rican producers via Selva Coffee, alongside lots from Kenya and Brazil.

They were the first UK roaster to sign the Transparency Pledge.
