Jaunty Goat is a specialty coffee business based in Chester, with its first shop opening on Bridge Street in summer 2015 and a second, entirely plant-based site on Northgate Street in January 2019. The business pairs cafes with an active wholesale and online retail operation, developing separate roast profiles for traditional espresso wholesale and more complex filter offerings for retail.

Sourcing runs through importers chosen for direct, long-term relationships with producers, with all coffees scoring 80 or above on the Coffee Review scale and a Rainforest Alliance partnership in place. Sustainability sits at the heart of the operation.

The Bridge Street site runs a Sanremo Opera 2.0 and Northgate Street a Victoria Arduino Eagle One, both selected for energy efficiency. Coffee moves to wholesale clients in reusable tins, milk arrives in returnable glass bottles from Peckforton Farm Dairy and Oato, and takeaway packaging is compostable within twelve weeks.

Retail bags are recyclable and carbon neutral, and the house espresso is positioned as carbon neutral through producer practices.
