Johnsons Coffee is a long-established family business based at 137 Hillsborough Old Road in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. The Johnson family began selling fine groceries and imported goods from hand and horse drawn carts around Belfast in the 1890s, with coffee roasting starting in earnest in the second decade of the twentieth century.
By the 1960s the company had expanded into machine sales, installation, maintenance and barista training. In 1999 it launched Bellagio Espresso, which it describes as one of Northern Ireland's best selling coffees, alongside dark, full bodied blends such as the Java Blend.
Today the offer spans retail coffee, subscriptions, professional services, equipment and barista training, with a shop covering tea, sundries and gifts. The business positions itself around more than a century of family experience in selecting, blending and roasting coffee.
