Long & Short Coffee

Long & Short Coffee is a Walthamstow roaster trading under the strapline Always Single Origin. The team is led by founder Troy Gray, with Richy Lace, Jane Gray and July Wood making up a small four-person operation.

Coffees are sold as single lots only, with a current line-up spanning Ethiopia, Colombia, Peru and Kenya, and tasting notes that lean floral, fruit and honey. The roaster is best known for its Peng Editions series and a steady run of decaf releases from Ethiopia and Colombia.

The Lab, based at Crate Coffee Shop on St James Street, E17, is the public-facing home for cupping, brewing and tastings. Press coverage in The Independent and Time Out London has highlighted the filter range.

Certifications such as B Corp, organic and Fairtrade are not claimed on the site.
