Morning Dog Coffee was originally formed in 2018, started from a utility room and then a log cabin in the garden as a hobby that grew into a wholesale-facing business. The business was sold in 2025 to Jamie, based in Aboyne, Aberdeenshire, who has grown it into a recognised coffee brand across Aberdeen city and shire and nationally.
The name comes from Pepe, a Spanish rescue dog rehomed in 2018. The range is focused on a small number of core offerings: a Brazil Santos single origin, a Brazil and Indian Monsoon Malabar blend, and a Swiss Water decaf from Brazilian Cerrado.
The Swiss Water decaffeination process is a notable choice, delivering a chemical-free decaf option. The business is trade-focused, with a wholesale programme and stockist network.
Location information is limited but the current owner is Aberdeenshire-based.
