Pact Coffee

Pact Coffee was founded in 2012 by Stephen Rapoport and started life trading as Your Grind before becoming Pact. The business was built around the idea that conventional supply chains, with multiple intermediaries between farm and cup, leave growers underpaid.

Pact buys direct from farmers, pays above the Fairtrade base price and is a certified B Corp. Coffee is sourced from eight or more origins and roasted to order before delivery.

The model is national in scale, with a subscription that customers can reschedule, skip, pause or cancel, alongside one-off purchases, brewing kit and pods. A separate B2B operation runs at business.pactcoffee.com.

Pact does not run a public cafe or open roastery for visitors. The result sits in a different part of the market to small independents, but the direct sourcing claims and transparency reporting are concrete rather than marketing dressing.
