Source Climate Change Coffee is a Yorkshire-based roaster founded by Cristina Talens, who built a career in ethical trade and rainforest protection before launching the business. The model is conservation-led: smallholders and forest-user groups are paid for ecosystem services such as reforestation, alongside the coffee itself, with projects certified by the Plan Vivo Foundation.

The original work was with the Ashaninka indigenous community in the Ene and Tambo rivers of Peru's Junin region, a community of around 10,000 facing pressure from illegal logging. The current single-origin range covers Mexico, Nicaragua, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda, all certified organic.

Customers can scan a QR code on each pack to see the story of the project, the product and the biodiversity benefits. The range includes home-compostable Nespresso-compatible capsules and Great Taste Award winning beans.
