South Downs Roastery

South Downs Roastery is a small, independent, family run coffee roastery and coffee house in rural Hampshire. The idea began when owner and Head Roaster Lewis took a history tour on how coffee first arrived in England.

With more than 10 years of roasting experience, he set out to recreate that spirit; the business opened in December 2023. Coffee is roasted in house in small batches, with blends such as Blackdown, a dark roast of Brazil Santos and Tanzania AA, and Harting, a medium to dark blend of Brazilian Ipanema and Colombian Huila, alongside a Mexican decaf using the mountain water process.

It opens to visitors at weekends for coffee, food and events. It also offers retail sales, a subscription with a 10% discount, and wholesale partnerships covering coffee supply, servicing and barista training.
