The Coffee Factory is a family run roastery on the Devon and Dorset border, founded in 2009 by Danny and Justine after they returned from travels in Australia and opened a coffee bar in Axminster. One of Devon's longest established independent specialty roasters, it roasts on two vintage Probats: Dorothy, a restored 22kg 1950s Probat UG fitted with modern controls, and Penny, a 1960 Probat LG12.

The team works with importers focused on full traceability and farms paid above Fairtrade rates, with classic roasts graded against the SCA scoring system at 82 points or higher. The range covers standing blends, rotating single origins, and home compostable Nespresso compatible pods.

Coffee is sold online through one off orders, the Roasters Club subscription, and a separate wholesale portal, with packaging across the range presented as 100 percent recyclable. Awards include Great Taste, Taste of the West Gold, and Food Drink Devon Awards.
