The Roasting Shed began with the founders roasting coffee in their garden shed, driven by a love of drinking and sharing great coffee. The business now operates from a roastery and cafe at 322 Hornsey Road in north London (N7), with a second cafe at Unit 2 Echo Building, East Bay Lane, in the Hackney Bridge development at Stratford (E15).

They roast in small batches and place transparency at the heart of how they work, with supply chains they describe as fully traceable back to origin. Their sourcing approach is built on personal relationships with responsibly-minded importers, growers and cooperatives.

The current range covers espresso, filter and a Special Reserve line, drawing from origins including Colombia, Guatemala, Peru and Brazil. Alongside whole-bean and ground coffee, they sell subscriptions, home and commercial brewing equipment, and run coffee courses.
