Vagabond Coffee Roasters has been roasting in north London since autumn 2014, working from a 5kg Giesen and supplying three of its own London cafes alongside a wholesale and online customer base. The team describes itself as a small group of committed coffee professionals who treat roasting as part science and part craft, with an experimental approach to each coffee rather than a fixed house profile.
Roasting happens in-house each week from Monday to Wednesday, keeping the team close to every batch. Sourcing spans Colombia, Peru, Uganda, Ethiopia, Brazil, Indonesia and Myanmar, with named single farms such as El Conjuro in Peru and Finca La Lomita in Colombia, and the business signals a commitment to long-term relationships with growers.
Subscriptions, single origins, blends and a decaf are all available, alongside wholesale support for cafes and pop-ups.
