West Berkshire Roastery is a family run speciality coffee roaster whose journey began in 2014, when owner and head roaster Alex started asking why office coffee so often missed the mark and set out to build a direct trade roastery focused on quality and simplicity. Every batch is freshly roasted and packed at the roastery by hand, and the business works directly with farmers rather than through middlemen.
The roastery is a qualified Great Taste Producer and has won 10 awards in the last 3 years. Coffee is sold online by the bag and by subscription, with free tracked delivery, and a wholesale service supplies cafes, restaurants, offices and hospitality businesses, including beans hand picked on a 50 hectare farm in El Salvador.
The decaf range is lab tested and described as Swiss Water decaffeinated, alongside a Mexican Mountain Water process decaf, and includes a washed Peruvian coffee from Cajamarca.
