Ancoats Coffee Co. is a Manchester speciality roaster founded in 2013 by Jamie Boland, based in the historic Royal Mills building in the Ancoats neighbourhood. The team roasts on a 6kg Giesen, with a profile that leans into the bright, juicy side of speciality coffee while preserving the subtle complexities of each origin.

Sourcing is transparent and ethical, with direct trade where possible and a line-up of single origins from countries like Ethiopia and Mexico, alongside seasonal blends. Coffees are either Rainforest Alliance certified or Organic certified.

Sustainability runs through the operation: reusable plastic tubs for Greater Manchester wholesale deliveries, fully compostable takeaway cups in the cafe, composted chaff, and green coffee bags repurposed as bin liners. The roastery doors are open to visitors, and the brand also runs a cafe at Royal Mills, a subscription service, and wholesale supply to cafes and offices.
