Blind Owl Coffee Co has been roasting in Bristol since 2018, when the small team began on a 5kg roaster called Ozzy in an old stable block on the outskirts of the city. They have since moved to St Philips Marsh, where their roastery and shop sits on Feeder Road, with owner Robyn, head roaster Elliot, and Jem on digital.

House blends are named after favourite songs, a thread that runs through the brand alongside the belief that good coffee should be kept reasonably priced. A fire in August 2022 led to the installation of Ozzy II and a customer-facing hiatus from September 2023.

The roastery and shop reopened to the public in May 2024. They source from Colombia, El Salvador, Brazil, Honduras, and beyond, and run a bespoke charity blend with Emmaus UK called Morning Motivation, where £1.50 from every bag sold supports the homelessness charity.
