Coffeelink is an Ipswich family business founded by Azzouz and Rebecca on 25 August 2005, with the first cafe opening on the Ipswich waterfront in 2006. The roastery at 31 Knightsdale Road, Ipswich roasts on a Toper commercial gas roaster, working with single origins from Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Tanzania, Ethiopia and the Dominican Republic.
Sourcing leans direct, with named partners including Almancio Vega Viton at El Romerrillo in Cajamarca, the Sol and Cafe cooperative in Peru, and Daterra in Minas Gerais, alongside the DR Wakefield 121 Project and Partners for Change Ethiopia. The company runs 14 cafes and kiosks across Suffolk, Essex and the wider East of England, supplies more than 100 trade customers, and has been an approved Iberital distributor since 2014.
Solar panels on the roastery earned the Suffolk Carbon Charter Silver level in 2015. The retail and trade site now lives at coffeelink.com, with the original coffeelink.co.uk domain parked.
