Javabean is a family-run speciality roastery based at Scottow Enterprise Park near Norwich, working on a 100% direct trade model with producers in Colombia, Brazil, El Salvador, Guatemala and India. The team only roasts and sells beans scoring 80 or above, framing the operation as speciality grade rather than commodity.

The range covers single origins, a rotating guest slot drawing on Tanzania, Indonesia, Mexico and Rwanda, and four house blends named after the Norfolk Broads: Broadland, Filby, Hickling and Rockland. A Brazilian Pocos de Caldas decaf, processed using a natural CO2 method, sits alongside the core line.

There is no public cafe. Coffee is sold direct to home customers, by subscription and to wholesale accounts including hospitality.

A Coffee Discovery Box is offered as a sampler. Sourcing transparency and the direct relationship with farmers are positioned as the defining features of the business.
