Norfolk Coffee is a small roastery run by founder Steve from a recently renovated barn at Pensthorpe, near Fakenham in north Norfolk. Coffee is hand-roasted on a Giesen W15A nicknamed Sally, built in 2021.
The team focuses on single origins for filter and espresso, with a signature house blend called 1549, named after the Norfolk uprising led by Robert Kett against the rich landowners. The roastery sources from small producers and aims for full traceability back to the farm and field, paying prices that the site describes as usually multiples of the Fairtrade price.
Local wholesale orders are delivered in an electric van, and retail bags are recyclable and made with materials certified to the EU13432 standard. Wholesale customers include Michelin-starred restaurants, coffee shops, hotels, bakeries and offices across Norfolk, East Anglia and the wider UK.
The roastery is also an authorised distributor for Victoria Arduino, Nuova Simonelli, San Remo and La Spaziale. It plans to open to the public for coffee at the roastery in spring 2026.
