Luckie Beans

Luckie Beans is a family-run specialty coffee roastery founded in 2015 by Jamie and Esther McLuckie. Based in Galashiels in the Scottish Borders, the business roasts small batches on a Giesen W15A roaster, using data logging software to profile each roast and daily cupping to maintain quality.

The roastery describes itself as multi-award winning and ethically sourced, with a 100% renewable energy badge and Guild Producer membership displayed. Luckie Beans sells direct to consumers via subscriptions (250g bags, letterbox-friendly recyclable packaging) and offers wholesale services including espresso machine leasing.

The business also has a retail presence inside Edinburgh Haymarket Railway Station, making it one of the few Scottish Borders roasters with a city-facing footfall point.
