Matlock Coffee Roasters is an independent, female founded coffee roastery and social enterprise based in Wirksworth, Matlock. It imports speciality, sustainable and ethical coffee from around the world and roasts it in DE4, hand packing each batch into paper stream bags that can be recycled at home.

A full £1 from every bag sold goes to local good causes, including Aquabox, Friends of Hurst Farm, Derby Mountain Rescue, Derbyshire LGBT+ and Derbyshire Refugee Solidarity, and the roastery also provides free coffee to local ambulance and fire services. Roasting is done in 200g batches on a vintage Diedrich HR1 roaster named Marlene, in a micro roastery behind the Haarlem shop in Wirksworth.

The range includes single origin coffees from Colombia and Uganda, and an Ethiopian decaf processed using the sugar cane method, light and fruity with hints of chocolate.
