Real Deal Roasters has been hand-roasting coffee on the outskirts of Deal in Kent since 2013. The roastery uses two beautifully restored 1940s roasters, an Italian Giuseppe Bava and a Greek machine, working over open flames and reading the smell, sight and sound of the beans rather than relying on software.

The range spans single origins from Ethiopia, Indonesia, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, India, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Mexico, with Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance and organic options across the line rather than a single blanket certification. Decaf is offered using the chemical-free Mountain Water process.

Customers can buy online, pick up bags at the Saturday morning Deal Town Market stall, or order wholesale with custom labels. Green beans for home roasters and a multi-bean tasting selection round out an unusually broad offer for a small Kent roaster.
