Salford Roasters was founded by Nik Storey in September 2016, with a stated mission to make speciality coffee accessible rather than niche. Nik's coffee journey began in Athens cafes and developed through Manchester's speciality scene over more than two decades, and the business grew from a garage operation into the current roastery at Protector Lamp Business Park in Eccles.

The roastery uses IMF equipment with a patented Vortex system, separating the heat generator from the drum for tighter temperature control through the roast. The range covers single origins and blends from countries including Uganda, Ethiopia and Mexico, alongside decafs produced via the Mountain Water and sugar cane processes.

Salford Roasters has earned Great Taste Award recognition and runs a wholesale arm offering La Marzocco machines and barista training. A coffee rum collaboration with Salford Rum sits alongside the core line of beans, home espresso equipment and chocolate.
