Hundred House Coffee roasts speciality coffee from the Welsh Borders, founded by head roaster Matthew Wade, a Q Arabica Grader who shaped London's early speciality scene after roasting in New Zealand, alongside co-founder Anabelle de Gersigny. The roastery works largely through direct trade and a small group of trusted green suppliers, guaranteeing farmers a price independently of market fluctuations and before the harvest completes.
Around 80 per cent of single origins are shade grown, with current coffees drawn from Tanzania, Kenya and Colombia, and a decaf line alongside. The business holds organic certification, sits within the Specialty Coffee Association and has picked up Great Taste recognition, with the hot chocolate named a BBC Good Food Star Buy for 2026.
An Art and Industry Programme, run by Anabelle, channels proceeds towards the creative community, drawing on her background with Hauser and Wirth, Phaidon and the Guggenheim and her MA from the Royal College of Art.
