Iron & Fire roasts coffee from Unit 9, Castle Business Park in Shrewsbury, with a team of around twelve and a range of over twenty coffees. Founded in 2012 by Kevin, known as Coffee Kev, the business started as a workshop in Ironbridge after he returned from a decade in Melbourne and applied his science and engineering background to a bespoke roasting process.

Origins span Africa, Central and South America, including Colombian, Brazilian and monsooned aged beans, with many lots Rainforest Alliance or organically certified. Proceeds from selected coffees fund community projects in growing regions.

Packaging and takeaway cups use compostable materials. The decaf range leans on the Swiss Water process for a chemical free, 99.9 percent caffeine free result.

Iron & Fire is a member of the Speciality Coffee Association and the Coffee Roasters Guild, and picked up Great Taste Awards recognition in 2024. Its On The Rocks blend, a Colombian coffee rested for months in a Scottish whisky barrel, has since won a Great Taste 3 star.
