Machina Coffee is an Edinburgh roaster founded by Steve Glencross, who moved from the music industry and spent around two years researching global coffee scenes before launching the business. The roastery sits at Peffermill Park, just behind Arthur's Seat, and the team also runs Machina Marchmont, a cafe on the city's south side.

Sourcing is built around a partnership coffee approach, with the site stating that since 2002 around 60% of coffee has been bought direct from origin and a stated goal of reaching 85% by the end of 2025. Coffees are selected against the seasonal harvest calendar and span espresso, filter and omni roasts.

Machina is an Official La Marzocco Partner and supplies wholesale customers alongside its retail and subscription offerings. The roastery is open to the public on weekdays, and a new training, events and showroom space is signposted as coming soon.
