Morning Dog Coffee

Morning Dog Coffee is an Aberdeenshire roaster based in Aboyne. The business was formed in 2018 and grew from a utility room into a log cabin in the garden, starting as a hobby and developing into a small roastery selling through farmers markets and stockists.

In 2025 the business was taken on by Jamie, an Aboyne resident, who runs it with his wife Grace and son Luke. The name comes from Pepe, the original owner's dog, rehomed from Spain in 2018.

The range is small and trade-friendly: a Brazil Santos single origin, a Brazil and Indian Monsoon Malabar blend, and a Swiss Water decaf from Brazilian Cerrado. Coffee is sourced through UK speciality importers who work directly with small farms, with the stated aim of paying growers a better price.
