Northumberland Coffee is a speciality roastery in an old cow barn just off Hadrian's Wall. It began in 2022 with a tiny sample roaster on a kitchen table and a Land Rover Defender used as an adventure wagon and mobile cafe.
Amy founded the business, now run with Ryan and a team of baristas. The roastery uses a fully electric 12kg Probat P12, powered in part by solar panels, roasting in small batches profiled on a Roest sample roaster before scaling up.
Coffee is sourced through UK speciality importers, primarily Cofinet, a fourth generation Colombian farming and exporting company, alongside others covering different regions. The range is organised into everyday blends, single origins and a Dark Skies range of decaf and low caffeine coffees, with origins including Colombia and Brazil.
A fleet of Defender coffee trucks serves events, markets and private hire, and coffee is ground to order on request.
